Dr. Diaz-Cruz was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. She then obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University and completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois, graduating in 2008. After graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Miami Veterinary Specialists. She worked as a relief doctor until obtaining a position at the Pet ER for 2 years, before shifting her focus to general practice. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family, husband and fur-baby, Clayton. She is also on the board of a non-profit organization called Reclaimed Earth Wildlife.
