Dr. Lorraine Karpinski, a Philadelphia native, is a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist. Dr. Karpinski completed her undergraduate degree at Penn State and her VMD at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. During her 50-year veterinary career, Dr. Karpinski has interned at the ASPCA Hospital in New York City and did her residency at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to that, she began one of the first private veterinary ophthalmology practices in the Unites States in 1976 in Miami, Florida and took a special interest in avian and exotic ophthalmology, working with Zoo Miami and the Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida.
