Dr. Maria Ortega was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies. She then obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at St. George’s University and did her clinical year at Auburn University. Dr. Ortega has been working at Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital since August 2021.  Areas of professional interest include Dermatology and Nutrition. On her free time, Dr. Ortega enjoys trying new restaurants/places, reading, baking and spending time with family and her lovely pets, Carl the Great Dane, Scully, a Golden Retriever, & Candy, her 17-year old Chihuahua.
